What is Keyword in SEO?

Keywords in SEO are key phrases that are added in the content of the website so that when the user searches for the particular keyword our website ranks at the top of the SERP for that keyword. Keyword are selected by following the process of Keyword Research.

Keywords research is the practice of shortlisting keywords that user of my product may enter in the search engine. For example, If I am Colgate may target keywords like:

  • tooth paste
  • toothpaste colgate
  • best indian toothpaste
  • best toothpaste
  • teeth whitening toothpaste
